Jaipur Cultural Walk grew from a simple idea — to help travellers experience this side of Jaipur with someone who knows the city beyond the usual tourist route.

A Journey That Began With Jaipur
Jaipur has been part of my life for many years.
In 2014, I decided to create my first travel venture, Jaipur Cultural Walk. That same year, another important journey began when I got married.
Since then, I have been enjoying both journeys together — building my life and continuing to discover and share Jaipur. Along the way, I have had the privilege of having an artist as my life partner and an intellectually curious son growing up alongside us.
Over the years, guiding travellers through Jaipur has given me the opportunity to see the city through many different eyes. I have walked its historic streets with curious travellers, shared conversations over chai, introduced visitors to local traditions, and watched them discover the people and craftsmanship behind the things they see and buy.
Along the way, I realised that the Jaipur many visitors remember most is often not just a monument. It is a conversation with a local, the sound of a workshop, the hands of an artisan at work, the story behind a piece of craftsmanship, or a quiet moment that was never written in their itinerary.
My journey into tourism began unexpectedly, when Air India and a local newspaper organised a school-level competition on Indian tourism. I wrote about tourism in India, and my paper went on to become the district-level winner.
Looking back, there is something special about that beginning. I was writing about tourism before I ever imagined that one day I would make it my profession — and the subject that captured my imagination was India itself, beginning with my own city, Jaipur.
After graduating in History and Economics, I decided to turn that early interest into a career. I obtained my official guide licence from the Government of India, Ministry of Tourism & Culture, and spent around five years working with international travel agencies.
Those years brought me close to travellers from different parts of the world. I learned that showing someone a monument is only one part of being a guide. The more meaningful moments often happen in between — during a conversation with a local, while walking through an old neighbourhood, over a cup of chai, or when a traveller discovers the hands and stories behind a piece of Indian craftsmanship.
This is the Jaipur I want to share.

A Different Way to Discover Jaipur
After years of showing Jaipur to travellers, I began to notice something.
Visitors often arrived with a list of monuments they wanted to see and shops they wanted to visit. But the moments that stayed with them were often very different — a conversation with an artisan, discovering how a traditional craft is made, walking through an old neighbourhood, sharing chai with a local, or understanding the story behind something they were about to take home.
I realised that Jaipur had so much more to offer than a sightseeing itinerary.
It has people to meet, crafts to understand, stories to hear and everyday life to experience.
That realisation became the foundation of Jaipur Cultural Walk.
Today, the idea is simple: to help travellers discover Jaipur through local knowledge, meaningful experiences and genuine connections — while giving them the freedom to explore the city at their own pace.
